Renaissance

  1. I thought it was evanescence
    until I sensed my renaissance.
    First, I am who witness,
    for eyes I only possess.
  2. Second, I am all ears
blissful to hear tales of all those missing years.
Now I am also speech and taste
though my face is still erased.
  3. Then appeared my visage.
Finally! Everything will not just be a mirage
as I will, thanks to my head,
be able to remember what I read,
    and what has been said.
  4. Ultimately, the body that I needed
    in order to feel completed,
    – the column – to elevate
my mind towards the adventures that await.

From six feet under to cloud nine
just like stars I think we align.
From beyond the veil to the Milky Way,
I am glad I met you that day.
